Why I Recommend Having Extra Cropping Room In Portraits
A business portrait can be a closely cropped standard head and shoulders headshot if it is specifically needed that way, but for the best versatility specially with all the different cropping variations for social media and web page formats, I usually recommend shooting in a looser, pulled back framing as you’ve seen on many examples in the portfolio.
High resolution allows for flexibility in cropping for all possible needs, as in social media headers where the horizontal format can be very narrow, or for many other standard profile images where the format is square or round.
Along with the master full size selected images, normally I also include lower resolution web versions that are easier to transfer and handle or sized for specific purposes.
